Beatrice is a dancer looking to make dance approachable for people who struggle with movement, and for those who don’t.
Empowerment through individual capabilities
Dance is for stressed people.
Dance is for sleepy people.
Dance is for people who haven’t exercised in years.
Dance is for disabled people.
Dance is for the self-loathing.
Dance is for every body.
Reconnecting with ourselves
We live our lives outside of ourselves constantly.
Dance will bring you back to center. Dance will ground you.
Dance will soothe tight muscles, give you endorphin boosts, and help you sleep.
Beatrice is a student of the Dance Body Mind International Dance Academy as a Level 1 Belly Dance instructor.
She has been dancing since 2017, learning Raqs Sharqi (the dance of the East) from her coach Luisa Fuentes.
She also dances at the Emmanuel Pierre-Antoine Dance Studio in Manhattan with Samantha Diaz.
Beatrice has never performed and does not wish to. She dances for herself.
Beatrice started dancing because she has hip dysplasia, born without 1/3 of both her hip sockets. She knew this would be a great way to nurture her body.
Gross motor skills are difficult for her as an autistic person, and she struggles with choreography. Her main goal is to help others to find their home in the dance commmunity who may struggle with disabilities as well.
